I get the following error when using the buttons in the BOINC Manager: C:\\Program Files\\BOINC\\http:\\setiathome.berkeley.edu\\home.php contains an invalid path. Everything else seems to work OK. It's cranking out jobs? |

Ok, do me a favour. Exit BOINC completely. Navigate to your BOINC folder. Open up account_setiathome.berkeley.edu.xml with a text editor like Notepad. Scroll down to the <gui_urls> tag and check if they are all just starting with http:// Not that they start with a C:\\ in the link. - If it doesn't check out, edit the line that says C:\\ etc so it's an http:// link like so: <url>http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/home.php</url> Then save the file (not save as.. just save) and restart BOINC. - If it checks all out, exit the file (don't save it!). Make sure you have an internet connection when you press the buttons. Make sure Internet Explorer is set as your default browser. (Start->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs, click the button Set Program Access and Defaults and make sure your IE is set as default browser). |

None of the "Web Site" link buttons on my Boinc Manager 5.4.11 work. I found this post and check the xml file and all the links are correct: e.g. <url>http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_index.php</url> And even though I do not use IE, it is the default browser in the WinXp defaults window. Anyone have any other ideas ? Thanks. Dean Ok, do me a favour. |
